Country Configuration


Fruugo is globally available in 45 countries, allowing you to grow your business internationally regardless of where your business is physically located.

The country configuration tool allows you to enable the countries you wish to sell into and configure your settings to start selling internationally.

When you complete your country configuration your products will be available for sale in the countries you have selected.

Enabling a country

 

To begin, navigate to the Country Configuration page (Store Settings > Country Configuration).

If you cannot see the Country Configuration page it means that your account has not yet been updated. Fruugo are in the process of updating all Retailer Accounts. You should check back later for updates.

 

Search for the country you wish to configure from the list of countries in the disabled column or use the search field to filter the countries.

Select the country you would like to configure and use the toggle to enable the country. Once enabled you will see the requirements for the country setup. You can enable or disable a country at any time.

When you close the model you will notice that the status of the country has changed to ‘Action Required'. This will remain until all settings have been configured or you disable the country.

 

Configuring a country

Shipping

All countries require a valid shipping method. You can click on the ‘view’ link within the model to set up your shipping or navigate to the Shipping Manager page (Store Settings > Shipping Manager).

  • To successfully configure your shipping you must set up at least one shipping method for the country with any available carrier.

Compliance

For selected countries such as France and Germany there are additional compliance requirements that must be setup. You can click the ‘view’ link within the model to set up your compliance or navigate to the Compliance Manager page (Store Settings > Compliance Manager).

  • To successfully configure your country compliance you will need to supply a valid EPR (Extended Producer Responsibility) certificate ID for all the required EPR product categories. Fruugo are obligated by international law to obtain this information.

 


Once you have completed the steps to configure a country Fruugo will update your tax settings. The status of the country will change to ‘Waiting for Fruugo’. This update can take up to 2 hours to complete.

When all steps have been completed and your tax details have been updated, the country status will update to ‘Configured’ and your products will be available for sale in the country.

Disabling a country

 

Disabling a country is easy. Search for the country you wish to disable from the list of countries in the enabled column or use the search field to filter the countries.

Select the country and use the toggle to disable the country. The country will move back to the disabled column on the page. Your tax details will be updated to reflect the change. This can take up to 2 hours to update.

Once your tax record has been updated your products will be unavailable in the country you have specified.

Your Shipping and Compliance information will remain unchanged and stored in the Retailer Portal until you update the pages.

You can enable or disable a country at any time.
