Shipping Manager for New Merchants

If you’re new to Fruugo, we’ll have to review your initial methods to ensure they’re appropriate for your business and our customers. You must add at least one method to progress through our integration process, but can add as many as you like once you’re up and running.

Continue with the steps below and don’t forget to press Configuration complete when you’re done.

1. Access Shipping Manager

access-new merchant.mp4

To use the module:

  1. Log in to Retailer Portal using the details provided by your Integration Specialist.

  2. In the left‑hand navigation, go to the Store module and click Shipping Manager.

When you land in Shipping Manager, you will see:

  • Overview – a high‑level summary of your shipping configuration and any configuration issues that require attention.

  • Countries – a list of destination countries, with the ability to configure different shipping methods within each country.

  • Add shipping method – a guided flow to create new shipping methods, starting from your preferred pricing model.

  • Finalise setup – for new merchants only, used to submit your shipping configuration for review.

If this is your first time using Shipping Manager, the countries you submitted in the onboarding form will already appear in the list, but no shipping methods have been configured yet.

2. Add a new shipping method

2-Two options - Existing Merchants.mp4

You can create shipping methods in two different ways:

  • Option 1 – From the Countries tab:
Focus on one destination country and configure all shipping options buyers can see in that country.

  • Option 2 – From the Add shipping method tab:
Start from a pricing model, then select carrier and service, and finally decide which countries and routes this method should cover.

Both options create the same type of shipping method in the background. The difference is only where you start and in which order the steps appear on the page.

No matter which option you use, you will work with the same core fields for the method:

Field

What does this mean?

Field

What does this mean?

Carrier

Which Carrier will be sending the shipment e.g. DHL, FedEx, 4PX.

We’ll show this to customers when they’re on a product page.

If you’d like to suggest a carrier to be supported here, please raise an enquiry via our Technical Support Desk using your Fruugo email and password.

Service

The type of service provided by the carrier e.g. Standard or Express.

We’ll show this to customers when they’re on a product page.

Is tracking provided?

Indicates whether or not the customer will receive tracking information.

Delivery Duty Paid

Indicates whether or not the shipment will be shipped Delivery Duty Paid (DDP).

Option 1: Create a method from the Countries tab

Use this option if you want to configure shipping options for a specific destination country.

Step 1 – Open the country view

3-Open Country View.mp4

Go to the Countries tab and click on the card for the destination country you want to configure. You will see all existing methods for this country, if any.

Step 2 – Add a new shipping method

4-Create a shipping method.mp4

Within that country view, click the option to add a new method (or edit an existing method if you want to change it).

Fill in the core fields for this method: carrier, service, tracking and Delivery Duty Paid (DDP). These fields define the basic characteristics of this shipping method for that country.

Step 3 – Add routes (“To country” fixed)

5-Set shipping time.mp4

Next, configure your shipping routes for this method.

  • From country will always be the country where your merchant account is registered.

  • To country is fixed to the country you selected in the Countries tab and cannot be changed in this view.

  • Enter Minimum estimated delivery in days and Maximum estimated delivery in days.

    • This information is used to show buyers a delivery window on the product page. Please ensure your estimates are realistic and reflect your operational performance.

Step 4 – Choose a pricing model

6-Set pricing model.mp4

For each route, you must select a Pricing model. You can choose from:

  1. Free shipping

  2. Price based

  3. Weight based

  4. Flat rate

  5. Quantity based

Once you select which pricing model to apply:

  • Enter the relevant values for that model (for example, price ranges or weight bands).

  • For non‑flat rate models, you can click Add tier to ensure all values are covered and there are no gaps between tiers.

Step 5 – Add route restrictions

7-Set restrictions.mp4

You can optionally add one or more route restrictions to a route.

A route restriction lets you define the range of values (e.g. weight or quantity) that apply to the configured pricing model for this route. You can add multiple restrictions to a route, but they cannot overlap and they cannot use the same pricing model.

Step 6 – Save & Close

8-Save & Close.mp4

Once you’ve completed your routes, pricing models and any route restrictions, click Save & Close to save this shipping method. Our system will automatically check for conflicting routes, restrictions, and methods to ensure you’ve created a valid shipping method.

If the method is saved successfully, it will appear under that country in the Countries tab. Please allow up to 48 hours for the method to be visible to customers on our marketplace.

Option 2: Create a method from the Add shipping method tab

Use this option if you prefer to design your methods by pricing model and carrier/service first, and then decide which countries they should apply to.

Step 1 – Choose a pricing model

A-Select a pricing model.mp4

In the Add shipping method tab, the first screen asks you to choose a Pricing model for the new method from:

  1. Free shipping

  2. Price based

  3. Weight based

  4. Flat rate

  5. Quantity based

For more information on how our shipping Pricing models work, please click here

Step 2 – Select carrier and service

B-Select carrier & service.mp4

After choosing a pricing model, you define how the method will be shipped by selecting the carrier, service, tracking and Delivery Duty Paid (DDP). These are the same core fields described in the table above.

Step 3 – Add routes

C-Select country & shipping time.mp4

Now you can attach one or more routes to this method.

  • The From country will always be the country where your merchant account is registered.

  • The available To countries are determined by your Carrier and Service selection. For example:

    • If you selected a Domestic service and your From country is the United Kingdom, you will only be able to select the United Kingdom as To country.

    • If you selected an International service, the United Kingdom will not be available in To country.

When adding routes:

  1. Select one or more To countries or predefined regions that this method should cover.

  • You can create multiple routes by selecting multiple countries in the Shipping to destinations drop-down menu.

  1. Enter Minimum estimated delivery in days and Maximum estimated delivery in days.

  • These values are used on the product page to show buyers a delivery window. Please ensure your estimates are realistic.

Step 4 – Refine pricing and add route restrictions

D-set price layers & restrctions.mp4

Your chosen pricing model is applied to each route. Within this step, you can:

  • Adjust or extend the pricing tiers for each route (for non‑flat models, use Add tier to add another pricing tier).

  • Optionally, add route restrictions to limit specific weight or quantity ranges for the route.

You can add multiple restrictions, but they cannot overlap and cannot use the same pricing model.

Step 5 – Save & Close

E-Save & Close.mp4

Once you’ve configured the pricing, routes and restrictions, click Save & Close to save the method.  Our system will automatically check for conflicting routes, restrictions, and methods to ensure you’ve created a valid shipping method.

If the method is saved successfully, it will automatically appear under each relevant destination country in the Countries tab. Please allow up to 48 hours for the method to be visible to customers on our marketplace.

3. Edit an existing shipping method

通用-Edit method.mp4

If you need to edit an existing method, you can click the Edit method button on a shipping method card in a specific country’s view under the Countries tab. This will open your method and make all fields editable.

When you click Save & Close, our system will automatically check for any errors, conflicting routes or overlapping restrictions again. Once you have saved the method, please allow up to 48 hours for your changes to be visible to customers on our marketplace.

4. Disable an existing method

通用-Disable Method.mp4

If you need to remove or no longer require a shipping method, you can click on the power button icon in the upper right corner of the shipping method card to disable it.

Disabling a method will mean that customers will no longer be able to select this method at checkout. Please note that if you disable the only active method for a country, your products will not be visible to customers on our marketplace.

Once you have disabled a method, please allow up to 48 hours for the change to be visible to customers.

5. Configuration complete

Z-Finalise setup.mp4

When you’ve populated your initial shipping methods and are ready to continue with the integration process, you need to let us know.

To do this, go to the Finalise setup tab and review the Pre-submission checklist to make sure you have completed your desired configuration, then click the Configuration complete button.

Clicking Complete will send a notification to your Integration Specialist that you are ready to proceed and lock your initial configuration for review. Your Integration Specialist will check your setup, let you know if there are any problems, and guide you through the next steps.

Once you’re live on Fruugo, you won’t have to submit your shipping methods for review again. You’ll be able to add, edit, and disable methods yourself at any time using Shipping Manager.
