VAT Number Format
After a company has successfully received approval with a country's tax authority, they will be issued with a VAT Number for that country.
Each EU Member state has a different VAT number format. These VAT registrations consistent of numbers and letters to form a unique ID which is between 8 & 12 digits/characters in length.
As part of expanding governmental control on imports, each retailer must provide a valid EU VAT number if they are registered within the EU to sell on Fruugo. These numbers are verified with the European Commission, and would will also be used for any intrastat trade.
To avoid any issues, errors or delays with your Fruugo account please ensure the correctly formatted VAT number for any registered country is provided to us once registered.
