Weight Based Shipping

Weight based pricing means that the shipping cost is calculated based on the total weight of the items ordered.

To supply your shipping charges via a weight based pricing type (either for all countries or a selection) requires the completion of 7 fields. These are as follows:

Field Specification

Country - The 'Country' field should be populated with the two digit ISO country code (Upper Case) of the country(s) which that shipping charge applies too. For a full list of the country codes for the 46 supported countries on Fruugo please see here

If the same shipping charge relates to multiple countries these should be separated by spaces. For example: IE FR DE.

Weight From - The 'Weight From' field should be populated with the weight of the lower / start of range, i.e. the charge for any orders between this weight and the upper weight (Weight To). For example, if shipping between 0 & 500 grams is free, this value would be 0. All values should be added in grams with no decimal places or units of measurement.

Weight To - The 'Weight To' field should be populated with the weight of the upper / end of range, i.e. the charge for any orders between the lower value (Weight From) and this value. For example, if shipping between 0 & 500 grams is free, this value would be 500. All values should be added in grams with no decimal places or units of measurement.

Delivery Price - The 'Delivery Price' field should be populated with the delivery price for this specific shipping selection / row and should be supplied excluding VAT. If your shipping is free of charge then this field should be populated with 0 rather than left blank.

Currency - The 'Currency' field should be populated with the three letter ISO currency code (Upper Case) within which the delivery price for this specific shipping selection is supplied. You should supply the charges in your own currency (e.g. EUR). For a full list of the currency codes for the 46 supported countries on Fruugo please see here

Delivery Type - The 'Delivery Type' field should be populated with either 'Standard' or 'Express' depending on the type of delivery offered. The delivery types are outlined on the Shipping > Shipping Specification article.

Courier - The 'Courier' field should be used to select the name of the courier you will typically use to ship orders to the specified country in that shipping method.

Additional Courier - The 'Additional Courier' fields should be used to select the name of an additional courier you may use to ship orders to the specified country in that shipping method. Note: Up to 4 additional fields.

Once all your charges are added for the countries you wish to ship too. Please send the template back to the Fruugo Integration Team. If your courier is not listed please let know.

Please note: In order to use weight based shipping you must accurately populate the 'PackageWeight' field of your product feed to supply the weight of each of your products. It also means you can not use quantity based shipping for any other country.
