Age-restricted products

You must not sell or deliver any age-restricted products to minors or consumers below the minimum legal age required to purchase a restricted product. It is a retailer’s sole responsibility to ensure that you are taking all reasonable precautions and putting measures in place to prevent an age-restricted product from being delivered to an underage customer.

All age-restricted products sold on Fruugo must be shipped via a specialist age-restricted products, and the product must only be handed across to a customer above the minimum age legally required to purchase the product. You must use an age-restricted service which conducts at ID check on the recipient at the time of delivery. In addition,  you must make sure all age-restricted parcels are clearly marked as requiring age-verification and you should clearly identify the contents (e.g. a bladed article).

This is a mandatory legal requirement, and failure to implement adequate measures to prevent underage customers from purchasing or receiving an age-restricted parcel may lead to the immediate suspension of your account. You may also face serious legal action being taken against you by regulatory authorities including imprisonment or an unlimited fine.

As per our T&C’s it is your responsibility as a retailer to ensure that you comply with all legal requirements in the countries that you chose to ship to, including age-restrictions.
