Anti-Counterfeit Products Policy
Counterfeit products are strictly prohibited on Fruugo
As a retailer, you are responsible for all products that you list and sell on Fruugo. All products using a brand name, brand logo, model name or number must be original and authentic. You must not use any brand names for products if it is not manufactured by that brand, including copies, or imitation products.
Examples of counterfeit goods include ā
Replica toys, including collectible figures and trading cards.
Copies of branded clothing and accessories, including trainers, handbags, jumpers, t-shirts, football shirts, and sunglasses.
Imitation electronics, such as headphones, mobile phones, memory cards, controllers, and speakers.
Illegally reproduced, pirated or unlicensed software.
Copies of cosmetics including makeup, perfume, aftershave, haircare, and skincare.
Reproductions of veterinary products, including flea and tick treatments and collars.
If a product is compatible with a specific brand, you must clearly state that the product you are selling is designed to be ācompatible withā, āfitsā or āforā products from that brand. You must not use any brand logos on the product or in the image.
The title, description and image must correspond with the product you are selling on Fruugo. You must not use an image which shows a branded product, a products model name/number, or a brand name to sell an imitation product or to mislead customers into thinking a product is from a specific brand when it is not.
You must also ensure you are sourcing products from an authorised distributor. You must ensure that you do not list or sell any branded products that you are not an authorised retailer of. It is your responsibility to ensure that you have all documents of authenticity and authorisation available upon request.
Counterfeit products shall be treated as a misuse of the Fruugo platform. If you fail to abide by this policy, Fruugo may take action against your account, including the suspension of products, freezing your account via Holiday Mode, withholding of your payments and the immediate termination of your account.
Pursuant to Fruugoās Retailer Terms and Conditions, Fruugo reserves the right to clawback any fines, penalties or expenses incurred by Fruugo as a result of an unauthorised product listing made by a retailer.
Fruugo has a Notice and Take Down procedure in place and any rights holders who have concerns in respect to a product listing are encouraged to notify us via https://www.fruugo.co.uk/help/detail/fruugo-third-party-legal-complaints-policy
All such notifications shall be investigated promptly in accordance with Fruugoās Third Party Legal Complaints Policy.
