Customer Email Address

To improve the flow of communication between yourselves, your logistics partners, and the customer we have recently completed a new development which will allow us to provide a Fruugo email address for the customer as part of the order - both in the Retailer Portal & via our Order API.

The new development will allow you and your logistics partner to use this email address to provide order updates such as dispatch and tracking information to the customer to ensure they are aware on the progress of their shipment and the planned delivery. The use of this email will route the correspondence via our internal retailer/customer communication tool to the customer as well as being available for them in their Fruugo account, and for the retailer to see under the 'Enquiries' tab in the Retailer Portal.

The email feature will begin to be available for retailers in the Retailer Portal in the coming weeks - and will be rolled out in stages. To receive this email on a Fruugo order you must have signed and completed the latest version of the Fruugo DPA (Data Processing Agreement) which have been sent out to all via DocuSign over the last six weeks.

For those who are integrated via one of our Integration Partners who utilise our order API, the inclusion of this email is dependent on your integration platform adding support for the new email into their Fruugo order configuration.

If you require information on when your integration platform will be adding support for the new feature, and they are not listed above, we advise contacting their support team.

If you are using an app/extension that is installed into your e-commerce system and your provider has completed support, you will need to ensure you upgrade to the latest software version with your app/extension provider as soon as possible to receive the email.
