Media Product Attributes
Unlike most products we have a different set of attribute guidelines when it comes to books & media products.
The attribute guidelines allows for a universal display of products specifications that a customer would require when viewing a media product, and allows us to pass the same information across our affiliate network to maximise visibility of these items.
Attribute Guidelines
The guidelines on attributes differ between the type of media products to cover the various information held on those items and we advise all who sell these products to fulfil these requirements. The specific guidelines for each type are below:
Books
Our specific book attributes for population are as follows:
Attribute1 = Format (Paperback, Hardback)
Attribute2 = Language
Attribute3 = Publisher
Attribute4 = Length
Attribute5 = Author
Attribute6 = Release Date
*Â The GTIN requirement also changes for books, where the ISBN field becomes mandatory rather than the EAN field as books have their own universal identification system.
Audio Products
Our specific audio attributes for population are as follows:
Attribute1 = Format (CD, Vinyl)
Attribute2 = Language
Attribute3 = Label
Attribute4 = Length
Attribute6 = Release Date
Attribute7 = Artist
Attribute8 = Genre
Visual Media Products (such as DVDs, Blu-ray)
Our specific visual media attributes for population are as follows:
Attribute1 = Format (DVD, Blu-Ray)
Attribute2 = Language
Attribute3 = Studio
Attribute4 = Length
Attribute6 = Release Date
Attribute8 = Genre
Attribute9 = Certification
Attribute10 = Region
Please note: The attribute field names should remain as Attribute1 through to Attribute10, and you should ensure the correct information is located within the correct attribute field for that product type.
