Market Surveillance Regulation 2019/1020
Fruugo is committed to selling safe and compliant products to consumers across the world. As a retailer using the Fruugo platform, you are responsible for ensuring that all products sold on the Fruugo platform are safe and comply with all regulatory requirements in the countries you sell to.ย
Failure to comply with any regulatory requirements will result in disciplinary action taken against your account.ย
EU Product Safety and Complianceย
As of the 16th July 2021, under the Market Surveillance Regulation (EU) 2019/1020 any CE marked products cannot not be offered for sale in the EU without a designated EU Responsible person. For more information on Responsible Person, we refer you to our designated FAQ page.ย Responsible Person for EU Compliance
In addition to designating an EU Responsible person, you must ensure that all labelling requirements have been met. As such, it is mandatory to include the following labels/information either on the product itself, on the product packaging and/or as an accompanying document to the product.ย
CE Marking;
Contact Information for the EU Responsible Person;ย
Instruction manuals; and
Safety Warnings or Labels.ย

Failure to comply with this regulation, or falsification of any contact information or markings will result in disciplinary action being taken against your account.
