To ensure a seamless and efficient shipping process, our platform incorporates a data validation feature. This automatically checks your current shipping method configuration and alerts you to potential issues that may impact the smooth operation of your business. 

In addition to automated validation, our TechOps team also reviews shipping configurations. If you have any questions or need assistance, feel free to reach out. We’re here to help you optimise your shipping setup for a successful experience on the Fruugo platform.

Below, you’ll find a breakdown of the types of errors you might encounter.


1. Overview Page - Configuration Errors & Alerts

These issues are flagged at a global configuration level through warning messages. The system validates the setup of your shipping methods across all carriers, services and selected destinations.

While these are warning messages and won't halt your business operations, they serve as valuable insights. You have the flexibility to either proceed with your existing configuration, acknowledging potential gaps or take action to refine your setup. Ensuring your configuration covers all products optimally is key to successfully selling on the Fruugo marketplace.

Price configuration in Country does not cover orders up to Amount.

Update your configuration to enable sales of your highest-priced products.

The price-based pricing method has been selected but configured tiers do not cover the prices of some products.

To resolve the warning messages, the price tiers of all shipping methods for a specific destination country need to be configured to cover the prices of all products in the portfolio.

If changes to product catalogue were made recently, please allow up to one hour for the validation to be conducted using the latest catalogue changes.

Price configuration in Country does not cover orders from Amount.

Update your configuration to enable sales of your lowest-priced products.

Price configuration in Country does not cover orders between Amount X and Amount Y.

Update your configuration to enable sales of affected products.

Weight

Weight configuration in Country does not cover products heavier than Weight.

Update your configuration to enable sales of your heaviest products.

The weight-based pricing method has been selected but configured tiers do not cover the weights of some products.

To resolve the warning messages, the weight tiers of all shipping methods for a specific destination country need to be configured to cover the weight of all products in the portfolio.

If changes to product catalogue were made recently, please allow up to one hour for the validation to be conducted using the latest catalogue changes.

Weight configuration in Country does not cover products lighter than Weight.

Update your configuration to enable sales of your lightest products.

Weight configuration in Country does not cover products weighing between Weight X and Weight Y.

Update your configuration to enable sale of affected products.

Quantity

Quantity configuration in Country does not cover orders between Quantity X and Quantity Y products.

Update your configuration to enable sales within this quantity range.

The quantity-based pricing methods have been selected but configured tiers across all the shipment methods for a specific destination country do not cover the quantity sequence for the products.

To resolve the warning messages, the quantity tiers need to be set in the continuous sequence (no gaps between the minimum and maximum quantities among all shipping methods) configured to cover the quantities set for all products in the portfolio.

The quantity sequence should always start from the quantity of '1' in at least one of the shipping methods.

Product data

Sales in Country are restricted because Extended Producer Responsibility data is missing or invalid.

 

Update your compliance details to enable sales in these countries.

Product data required for validation (such as prices, weights or compliance details) is missing, incomplete or invalid, so some shipping methods and sales in affected countries cannot currently be fully verified or enabled.

To resolve the warning messages, the relevant product and compliance data must be completed and corrected.

If changes to product catalogue details were made recently, please allow up to one hour for the validation to be conducted using the latest data.

 

Some products within your catalogue are missing X values.

Update your product data to include values and enable sales of these products.

Your price-based methods cannot be verified until your product data integration is complete.

Update your product data integration to verify methods.

Automation & Optimisation

Tax details are being applied to newly enabled countries, this can take up to 1 hour.

Your products will be available for purchase across all enabled countries once complete.

Some automated background processes are still in progress, or have identified configuration choices that are likely to harm sales performance.

To resolve the alert messages, allow any automated updates (for example, tax configuration for new countries) to complete, and review optimisation suggestions such as high shipping costs or longer‑than‑average delivery timeframes where operationally feasible to remain competitive and improve conversion.

Remain competitive and improve sales by lowering your rates.

Delivery timeframe in Country is longer than the market average.

Remain competitive and improve sales by offering quicker delivery timeframes.


2. Method Detail Page - Configuration Errors

Configuration errors are also outlined during the setup or editing of your shipping methods. It's important to note that these errors may prevent you from saving your shipping method. Addressing these issues promptly is crucial for a smooth and error-free shipping process.

The instructions on how the errors can be resolved are present on the screen, upon attempting to save and close the method.
